One of the reasons I choose to study at H.W.U. School of Textiles & Design was their strong links within the Textile Industry, opening the door to lots of exciting opportunities.
In 2014 we were invited to submit ideas for the Dhu Cashemere Innovation Awards.
The brief was to come up with a innovative knitwear design for Dhu Autumn Winter 15/16 Collection.
I enjoyed the challenge of creating a truly innovative textile and I ‘m pleased to say that I’m down to the final two along with my talented classmate, Sarah Barker!
Last week Ian Moore (Dhu founder) visited us to view our progress. Next week we are meeting with their manufacturers to discuss the possible production of our designs. I can’t go into too much detail about my design but I can say I’ve really enjoyed this process. Fingers crossed!
